洛北の山村に伝わる古い行事で、精霊送りと火災予防、農作物の豊作を祈願する火の祭典。河原や畦道に差し込んだ約千本の松明に点火、高さ約20メートルの大傘へ松明を投げ上げ火をつける勇壮な祭。四方から上がる火が弧を描き、交錯して夜空を焦がす。

昔の運動会でやった「玉入れ」を火のついた松明でやっているようで、とても迫力がありました。
This old festival of flame has been handed down in a mountain village in Rakuhoku,
Kyoto to pray for commemoration of the soul of ancestors as well as fire prevention and rich harvest.
About 1000 tourches are lit up at the riverside and narrow paths .
People through「Taimatsu」to burn「Ogasa」which is about 20 meter high at this gallant festival.
The fire comes from 4 way and draw a circle blended into the night sky.
